History

From its establishment in 1940, many boats have been built by the Canaletti Shipyard which are still sailing at sea. Among these:

• The “Leone di Caprera”, former “Paradiso due”, a motor boat measuring 14 metres in length and 3.70 metres in width, has had an adventurous history. Almost at the end of the 1950s, the boat was commissioned by the Battellieri cooperative of La Spezia to take the Harbour pilots to the vessels at anchor. Restored in the 1980s, it was used to connect the islands of the Maddalena archipelago up to 2000. Today, it sails in the archipelago retaining the charm of a motoryacht of times gone by.

• “EURO”, a vessel completed in 1961 and designed by Bruno Veronese. It took part in the I Salone Nautico in Genoa.
